We had to grind up the shells before pouring vinegar into the bowl. We saw bubbles and heard a fizzing noise. The stored carbon in the shell was released and bonded with oxygen to form carbon dioxide gas.
We have been busy learning measurement. Students had to convert milligrams, centimeters and meters. Their homework on 9/5 is to review the lab.
We are looking forward to another great year at Taylor! The first week students will be introduced to group roles, think-pair share partners and lots of problem solving. Please remember to bring two notebooks (Math & Science), folders, kleenex, pencils, and pens.
